Our Heritage
Our journey of faith began in 1859 in a simple log building with merely 10 members. These
10 original pioneers planted the seeds for what would be established on May 1, 1860 as our
church, Harmony Grove Baptist.
Many generations have faithfully served our Lord as part of the body of Harmony Grove
Baptist church. The church has occupied several different structures our the years. Our
current facility, erected in 1968, is the fifth building our family of faith has met in for the
purpose of worship.
Our corporate body of believers has grown and greatly changed over the years, but we all
share a common bond--our love for our Lord, Jesus Christ. We continue to be blessed by
God, and we pray that He will help us to recall that He is the reason we gather together as a
church family.

Greetings from Harmony Grove Baptist Church!
As pastor of Harmony Grove, I would like to welcome you and hope that you will feel
at home among our body of believers. Our church scripture says "Where there is no
vision, the people perish," ( Proverbs 29:18). Our vision is to share the inerrant word
of God with you and to offer opportunities for spiritual growth. I pray that you will
see the love of Christ in each person here and that you will experience that love for
yourself.
I encourage you to explore all the different opportunities available at our church to
further your spiritual journey. We have classes to fit every age group and every level
of spiritual maturity. I pray that you will come to study God's Word with us. May
